This week’s long run: dark and flighty

Set out while it was still dark outside:

Was rewarded by an awesome sunrise:

And some Egyptian geese:

As well as a pied kingfisher on the hunt:

A white-throated kingfisher was perching on a wire above the boat dock (you can barely see him, I know, but they’re flighty, so I couldn’t get nearer):

I was super surprised to see a ring-necked dove, as they’ve been overrun by common pigeons:

On the way back I saw a gathering of kayaks in the sea, which was a first for me:

A little over 10K on a very interesting run:

This week’s long run: geese all the way

Early morning 9k in weather I wish would never end. I encountered a surprising amount of Egyptian Geese on the way, and they were in a relatively friendly mood, allowing me to get pretty close to take photos of them.

This week’s long run: parakeets and waves

Took a new route on today’s 8k run, and was rewarded with a flock of parakeets grazing in the park grass outside the local power station.

You can barely make them out here, but they’re also some parakeets perched on the yellow bush in the middle of the photo.

All in all, a good, relatively fast 8k run in what is becoming better and better running weather.

Succot 5k

Today’s 5k featured a giant Succa. Enjoy.

Pho

Had Pho for the first time today, and it was strange but good, especially as a post run meal. It’s surprisingly difficult to find Pho in Tel Aviv, but maybe more places will offer it when the weather cools down.
