#Inktober 17: Swollen

My favourite prompt so far because it gave me an excellent excuse to draw the pufferfish.

#Inktober 16: Angular

Boy did I have a problem figuring out what to draw for this prompt. I almost decided to give up on it and work on my own thing. Then I remembered reading about the Angular Roughshark and that was that.

#Inktober 15: Weak

One of the weakest of monsters in D&D: the Kobold.

This is before the shading:

#Inktober 14: Clock

I used to have one of these giant alarm clocks growing up. Zebra disposable brush pen on a Field Notes Signature sketchbook.

#Inktober 13: Guarded

Zebra disposable brush pen on a Field Notes Signature sketchbook. I only use one side of the page with these sketchbooks and you can see why. Even doing that doesn’t prevent the sketch on the following page from showing through.

This week’s long run: geese all the way

Early morning 9k in weather I wish would never end. I encountered a surprising amount of Egyptian Geese on the way, and they were in a relatively friendly mood, allowing me to get pretty close to take photos of them.

#inktober day 12: whale

A nice theme from the inktober 2018 list for a change. Pilot duality brush pen, Faber-Castell PITT artist brush pen light indigo 220, on a Field Notes Signature sketchbook.

#inktober day 11: Typewriter

A very quick sketch of my Remington typewriter which I plan on redoing with a bit more time later on. Pilot dual tip brush pen on Field Notes Signature sketchbook.

Typewriter instead of Twitter

Trying to replace Twitter with this, as it’s become an even worse time-sink-of-horror-and-cruelty. Banging my frustrations out on these keys is exhilarating.

#inktober day 10: flowing

Drew this with a vintage Montblanc 149 and Montblanc’s new Beatles Psychedelic Purple on a Field Notes Signature sketchbook. As usual, purple doesn’t reproduce well – this is a super vibrant ink.
